Long-Distance Runner

Draw this guy taking big, stretched-out strides with his arms held in close to the body, showing more self-control.

The Dash

In this pose, he should be running almost on his toes. Show him about to land, not perpetually airborne as in the sprint.

Tip-Toe Trot

Trying to make it out of the barn without waking up the guard dog. This motion is more vertical than horizontal.

The male cartoon lion—the one with the mane—is usually goofier than the female version. And that’s actually the way it is in the animal kingdom, too. The female is the hunter. The male is the couch potato. How’d the male get such a sweet setup? Some guys have all the luck. We’ll draw both, with plenty of funny variations.
